Kwan believes that there is always a story behind every brand. From the hand-drawn sketches to the simple lines and the outline of the image, designers need to go through countless revisions and sublimation to come out with the final design of a logo. The process is always full of struggles and self-examination. As a brand designer, their mission and challenge are often about how to effectively and narratively balance the visual design system with brand story and customer needs, as well as to align with marketing strategies—It is indeed a very harsh training for designers from macro to micro aspect.
Brand identity is a mix of beauty, story and business behavior in the form of visual impressions. They are inseparable from each other. After years of experience working in branding and graphic design, Kwan has integrated a series of his logo designs. They all reflected their own unique brand feature in different visual forms. Some are frank and straightforward, while some are indirect and euphemistic, and some are intriguing. Since every company has a different story to tell, so they have different visual languages and it is the blossoming scene that makes the world so beautiful. Kwan hoped every brand can stick to its own unique brand story so the world can experience different kinds of beauty.
